Exhibition project in the home of national poet J.L. Runeberg, Porvoo, 03.12.2011-29.01.2012
Some works from my painting series Stubbhuvu Arboretum (2011) and a video installation will be showed in the home museum. I´m interested in exploring how contemporary art will interfere and communicate with old art, furnitures and things in the museum. In a way my paintings look old, like botanical illustrations from the past. I will remake a video installation for the exhibition. The video is called “Spring Brook” and was originally done in 2001. My new Stumphead paintings are dealing with questions about nature in transition, abouth the thin line between life and death.
